Rising visitor numbers and a lack of flexibility in car park management prompted the operators of the Geisskopfbahn to modernise the parking facility and to charge fees for parking. The ticketless freeflow system from Arivo guarantees a fast car park process - even at peak times - and offers various payment options.
The Geisskopfbahn is located in the south-eastern Bavaria, right in the heart of a tourist area popular with skiers in winter and campers and mountain bikers in summer. The associated parking area offers 330 parking spaces.
Parking management with modern freeflow solution
For the management of the car park, a freeflow solution was sought that would work reliably even at peak times and would not interrupt the flow of traffic from the public road to the car park. Additionally, it was crucial for the operators to meet the needs of both winter and summer tourism groups.
The Arivo parking system was chosen due to its flexibility and numerous references from Austria. While freeflow parking is not yet common in Germany, parking customers have had only a few questions so far, and overall, they issues to find their way around the new parkings system.
Flexible parking system for the skilift operator
With Arivo‘s parking solution, the skilift operators of the Geisskopfbahn now have the option of assigning their own tariffs for long-term parkers, storing several licence plates for them in the system and offering their parking customers various payment options - from cashless payment on site to convenient online payment even after exiting the car park and automatic payment collection for registered, long-term parkers.
Follow-up project with Arivo for the Geisskopfbahn in planning
The Arivo parking system meets all the needs of the Geisskopfbahn. According to its team, its user-friendly design is particularly valued, and the Arivo team is always available to assist with any questions. Since the system streamlines the management of multiple parking areas on a single platform, it perfectly supports the planned future expansion of the Geisskopfbahn parking lots.
