Double advantage: electric car charging and 3 hours free parking in the Geidorfcenter Graz
In the successful showcase project in the underground car park in the Geidorfcenter, electric car users have the opportunity to charge their electric vehicle at the modern and powerful charging infrastructure of Energie Graz. On this fast charging-station is an 80% load within 30 minutes possible. The combination with Arivo’s innovative access system also makes it possible to enter and exit the underground car park using a charging card, so parking is free of charge for up to 3 hours.
The number of electric vehicles is constantly increasing. Energie Graz installs and operates public charging stations all over Graz. Especially for charging stations in underground garages, the Arivo solution offers many advantages: garages are upgraded by the construction of charging stations and the electric car users are given easy and convenient access to the charging stations.
Almost any charging card can be used for entry. The car is charged in a safe area and the owners can park 3 hours for free. If the parking process lasts longer than 3 hours, the parking fee is added directly to the charging card. You don’t need cash machines or tickets, the process is 100% digital and therefore it lowers your costs. This system is integrated into the Austrian charging network. Thus, Energie Graz customers and their partners can charge in underground garages without a parking ticket just by using a charging card.
In the unique showcase project in Greater Graz, in addition to photovoltaics on the roof and an energy storage unit in the basement, there are public charging stations for electric cars in the underground car park, including an eCarsharing vehicle for the residents. With the Energie Graz charging card, it is even possible to park three hours for free. In the future, further locations will be equipped with this innovative system and electromobility in Graz will be promoted.
